Born 23 October 1940 in Três Corações, Brazil. Died 29 December 2022.
Edson Arantes do Nascimento — Pelé — is the only player in history to win three FIFA World Cups (1958, 1962, 1970). He scored 1,279 goals in 1,363 games, a Guinness World Record. Named Athlete of the Century by the IOC and FIFA Player of the Century alongside Maradona.

Diego Armando Maradona — El Pibe de Oro — led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup with one of the greatest individual tournament performances in history. His 'Goal of the Century' against England and the infamous 'Hand of God' in the same match define football's most mythologised 90 minutes. At Napoli, he transformed a city and won two Serie A titles.

Born 2 April 1927 in Budapest, Hungary. Died 17 November 2006.
Ferenc Puskás is one of the most prolific goalscorers in football history. He led Hungary's 'Magical Magyars' — the greatest national team never to win a World Cup — and later starred for Real Madrid, winning three European Cups. His left foot was described as 'a magic wand'. The FIFA Puskás Award for goal of the year bears his name.
